Norwegian soul sensation Jarle Bernhoft is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and lyricit. His solo Grammy nominated record ‘Islander’ was released via Abbey Records in the UK in 2014.
Inspired by Swedish pop, the trailblazing soul of Stevie Wonder and Sly Stone, and the intricate folk-rock of Carole King, Islander was recorded at Chale Abbey Studios, Isle of Wight and produced by Paul Butler (Michael Kiwanuka and Devendra Banhart.)
Achieving coverage that included a live televised Glastobury performance, as well as a live rendition of the track ‘Wind You Up’ on BBC 1’s Breakfast show and a Radio 2 playlist slot, sold at shows at Shepherds Bush Empire and Manchester’s Deaf Institute.
